Job description: 

We are a growing and well-established towing and recovery company seeking an experienced Internal Accountant to join our team. 

This is a key in-house position responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting, payroll, and HR-related financial processes.

Position Overview

The Internal Accountant will oversee all internal accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage payroll and benefits, and support HR compliance. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting using QuickBooks Online
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
• Payroll processing (weekly/bi-weekly), including garnishments and deductions
• Payroll tax filings and compliance
• Employee onboarding and offboarding from a payroll/HR perspective
• Benefits administration support (workers’ comp, PTO tracking, etc.)
• Maintain personnel records and ensure HR compliance
• Assist with budgeting, job costing, and management reporting
• Coordinate with CPA for tax preparation and year-end close
• Ensure compliance with state and federal labor and payroll laws

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in transportation, towing, or service-based industries
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
• Strong payroll processing experience
• Working knowledge of HR processes and employment compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the towing, recovery, trucking, or automotive industry
• Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-location accounting
• Experience with workers’ compensation reporting and job costing

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job description: 

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge, along with excellent customer service skills. Candidate should also live no more than 15 minutes from our Iowa City location. 

As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing assistance to customers in need. 

This role requires a valid driving license with a clean drivng record. The ability to operate various types of tow trucks and equipment is helpful, but not required. We will train those willing to learn!

Duties

• Safely operate tow trucks to transport vehicles from one location to another.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their towing needs.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure safety and reliability.
